That’s the bombshell Dynamite Entertainment just dropped, announcing Pathfinder / Vampirella: Blade of Darkness, an ambitious crossover event. It’s a bold move, pushing out a major title years in advance, but it speaks to the scale Dynamite CEO Nick Barrucci envisions, calling it "historic and huge."

This isn't just another comic. It’s a clash of legends: Vampirella, the iconic Daughter of Drakulon with a history shaped by Trina Robbins and Frank Frazetta, meets Pathfinder, the globe-spanning tabletop RPG from Paizo Inc. Their nearly 15-year collaboration with Dynamite has led to this genre-bending gamble.

The story kicks off when the vampire lord Zaloch’s dark ritual to summon a demon goes spectacularly wrong, pulling Vampirella directly into Pathfinder’s swords-and-sorcery world. Soon, chaos reigns, drawing in beloved Pathfinder heroes like the elf rogue Merisiel and the human Sarenite Kyra. Expect dark magic, intense battles, and unexpected alliances.

Erik Burnham, celebrated for his work on Red Sonja, Ghostbusters, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, steps into the Pathfinder universe for the first time as writer. Federico Dallocchio, known for his dynamic art on titles like Suicide Squad and Star Wars, joins him.
