SuperMutant Magic Academy Unveils First Animated Look, Adult Swim Series Previews at Annecy

Adult Swim just gave fans their first real look at SuperMutant Magic Academy, the highly anticipated animated adaptation. Helmed by Regular Show's J.G. Quintel and original graphic novel creator Jillian Tamaki, the series offered a sizzle reel to attendees at Annecy, though a wider public release didn't happen.
This surreal comedy brings Tamaki's beloved webcomic to life. It’s set at a bizarre high school where mutant and "regular" teens navigate awkward romance, friendships, and burgeoning powers through the eyes of sardonic transfer student Marsha. Produced by Cartoon Network Studios, the series promises a unique blend of Quintel’s distinctive humor and Tamaki’s quirky vision, a significant move for Adult Swim's animation slate.
