Fans know the trope: the intimidating exterior hiding a heart of gold. Natsume, one of the titular characters from the Natsume & Natsume manga, embodies it perfectly. This character might look tough, perhaps even a little scary, but his actions speak volumes. Forget the scowl; it's his consistent deeds across volumes 2-10 that truly define him. He's clearly a protagonist whose true nature lies in kindness, not menace, proving that initial impressions are often misleading in the best way.

Reading the nine
