Arakure Unsheathes Vengeance in For Honor's New Season
Ubisoft is unleashing Arakure, a new Samurai assassin, into For Honor on July 23 as part of Year 10 Season 2. This isn't just another fighter; Arakure arrives with a dark past and a burning vendetta. Born into crime, she seeks vengeance against the Samurai, whose Orochi guards killed her brother. She plans to desecrate the Khatun statue during the Samurai Feast, a bold statement against those she despises.
Gameplay-wise, Arakure is a quick-hitting striker, prioritizing agility and precise damage over brute force. She's designed for swift eliminations, not tanking hits.
Fans also get more than just a new hero. The popular Starter Dominion event returns from July 23 to August 6, bringing its skill-focused gameplay back – notably, without Gear Perks, but with Stamina, Feats, and Revenge now enabled. Plus, the Metal Trials throwback event and Hero Fests are making a comeback.

Arakure's deep backstory is a welcome touch for a fighting game character, giving players more than just new moves to master. Fans will want to jump into the updated Starter Dominion too; playing without Gear Perks really shifts the meta. It's a great opportunity to test out Arakure's agility without relying on buffs.
