Aardman Blends Stop-Motion & 2D for New Timmy Series in 2027

Aardman Animation is breaking new ground! The beloved studio, famous for its iconic stop-motion, announced "Let's Go Timmy!" at Annecy, a new series for BBC in 2027 that will uniquely blend their signature style with dynamic 2D animation.
The show marks a welcome return to the whimsical Mossy Bottom world, familiar from "Shaun the Sheep" and "Timmy Time." It centers on long-suffering sheepdog Bitzer, tasked with guiding young Timmy and his friends, Yabba and Apricot, to school. Of course, the journey is never simple. Their boundless energy and vivid imaginations transform ordinary commutes into surreal escapades, vividly brought to life by the new 2D animation.
Aardman's Executive Creative Director Sarah Cox highlighted the series' celebration of childhood dawdling and the magic of imagination. This expansion of the Mossy Bottom universe, targeting 3-5 year olds, promises the heartwarming humor and visual delight fans expect from the studio. It's a significant creative step, showcasing Aardman's enduring commitment to innovation in storytelling.
“Let's Go Timmy! will uniquely blend Aardman's iconic stop-motion with dynamic 2D animation to visualize the characters' fantastical daydreams.”
