Vampire: The Masquerade Sinks Fangs Into D&D Beyond with 5E Class

Hold onto your dice, because a massive cross-IP collaboration just dropped: Vampire: The Masquerade is officially sinking its fangs into Dungeons & Dragons. D&D Beyond will host 'Vampire: The Masquerade – Bound by Blood,' a complete vampire class for D&D 5th Edition, designed by Ghostfire Gaming, the studio behind the popular Grim Hollow.
This isn't just a reskin; 'Bound by Blood' promises to integrate core World of Darkness mechanics. Players can expect Blood Points, Disciplines, and even the Beast – all tailored for the familiar 5E system. This is a huge win for fans who’ve wanted to bring the dark allure of VTM to their D&D tables without learning a whole new system.
However, a crucial clarification is in order. While exciting, 'Bound by Blood' is not White Wolf's primary focus. The studio behind Vampire: The Masquerade is preparing its own major, in-house announcement for Gen Con, complete with playtesting and a roadmap for their long-term vision. This D&D Beyond integration is a separate, third-party effort.
“A full vampire class for fifth edition Vampire, with Blood Points, Disciplines, the Beast, along with a Dark Ages adventure.”
Catzye Take
This collaboration is genuinely exciting for tabletop fans, bridging two massive worlds. What's interesting is the clear distinction White Wolf is making between this and their own in-house VTM project for Gen Con. Fans will want to watch both developments, especially with that distant 2026 release date for Bound by Blood.
