The Americas Gears Up for Ambitious Season 2, Tom Hanks Narrates (Again) – But It’s a Long Wait!
The Americas is officially returning for a second season, with Hollywood icon Tom Hanks back to narrate. But mark your calendars carefully, because the highly anticipated new season won't hit screens until 2028 – a significant wait for fans eager to explore the supercontinent's stunning depths.
Good news for those who can't wait that long: two special episodes are planned to bridge the gap. Viewers can look forward to The Americas: A Wild 250th dropping this July, followed by The Americas: Mother's Day in 2027. These specials will offer a taste of the ambitious storytelling before the main event.
The series, a collaboration between NBC, Universal Television Alternative Studio, and the renowned BBC Studios Natural History Unit, impressed with its first season's groundbreaking scope. It showcased the Americas' unique wildlife and landscapes, stretching from pole to pole, captured through cutting-edge technology and five years of production across 180 expeditions.
