Obama Teams Up with Larry David for Twisted History Satire 'Life, Larry'

Larry David's new historical satire, Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness, hits HBO Max on June 26th. Here's the kicker: Barack Obama isn't just executive producing — he's starring in a sketch alongside David himself. This series, co-created with Curb Your Enthusiasm's Jeff Schaffer, promises a decidedly twisted take on America's past, all to celebrate the nation's 250th anniversary.

Life, Larry brings back a stacked cast of Curb alums, including Jeff Garlin, J.B. Smoove, and Susie Essman, who will portray Susan B. Anthony. But the historical reimaginings truly shine with an all-star lineup: Bill Hader and Kathryn Hahn as the Lincolns, Jon Hamm and Sean Hayes as the Wright brothers, and David himself pairing with Jerry Seinfeld as Lewis and Clark. Vince Vaughn, Isla Fisher, and Jane Krakowski are also set for guest roles.

The show boasts serious creative weight. David and Schaffer are writing and executive producing, with Schaffer also directing.
