Mister Miracle Anime Hype! Co-Creator Mitch Gerads Drops Stunning New Art, Praises "Magic" Adaptation

Mitch Gerads, the acclaimed artist and co-creator behind DC's Mister Miracle comic, just sent the hype meter soaring for the upcoming animated series. Fresh from the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Gerads proclaimed himself "excited" and "proud" of the show, even sharing stunning new artwork that immediately grabbed attention.
DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation made a splash at Annecy, revealing a slew of animated projects. But it was Gerads’ enthusiasm for the Mister Miracle adaptation, based on his Eisner-winning collaboration with writer Tom King, that truly resonated. He called the project "genuinely magical," praising the "heart and craftsmanship" Titmouse and WBA are pouring into the series. Concept art shown at the festival featured fan favorites like Scott Free/Mister Miracle, Big Barda, Orion, Highfather, Granny Goodness, and Darkseid, all reflecting Gerads' distinctive style.
Writer Tom King, who also serves as the series showrunner, is deeply embedded in the production. He's writing the scripts, directing voice actors, and even editing the pilot. King confirmed he and Gerads are "constantly in touch, building the whole thing." For King, the series is "my whole life right now."
“This book means SO MUCH to [Tom King] and I, and to be working together... to deliver an animated show with that same amount of heart and craftsmanship is genuinely magical.”
