Mark Hamill Joins Twisted Metal Season 3 as Sweet Tooth's Estranged Father

The voice of the Joker himself is heading to the Twisted Metal wasteland! Mark Hamill, the legendary actor synonymous with Luke Skywalker and the animated Clown Prince of Crime, is joining the cast of Peacock's live-action Twisted Metal adaptation for its third season. This isn't a small cameo either: Hamill will play Pope Charlie Kane, the formidable leader of the Eastern Sovereignty and, more shockingly, Sweet Tooth's estranged father.
Fans have been waiting for this kind of casting. The series, which stars Anthony Mackie as John Doe and Stephanie Beatriz as Quiet, brings the chaotic demolition derby game to life. Hamill's addition elevates the stakes significantly. Anthony Mackie himself expressed his admiration, calling Hamill a true legend whose influence spans generations. It’s an incredible honor to have him join the ensemble.
Twisted Metal, a co-production from Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions, has found its footing by blending explosive action with dark humor. Bringing in a talent of Hamill's caliber, especially for such a pivotal family connection to the iconic Sweet Tooth (voiced by Will Arnett, body by Joe Seanoa), feels like a definitive power-up for the upcoming season.

Catzye Take
This is huge. Hamill's iconic voice work, especially as the Joker, fits the Twisted Metal universe perfectly. Fans should expect some truly wild dynamics between him and Sweet Tooth, potentially revealing a lot about the killer clown's origins. What's next for Calypso?
