Lara Croft Jumps Into Classic G.I. Joe Continuity for 2026 Crossover

Lara Croft is diving headfirst into the classic G.I. Joe universe! A new G.I. Joe x Tomb Raider crossover comic from Image Comics and Skybound is slated for October 2026. This isn't just any crossover; it's set to entwine with the long-running G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero continuity.
Fans can expect Lara Croft to make her debut there in the upcoming issue #330, a series famously helmed by industry legend Larry Hama. Kyle Higgins will write the new crossover, with Elena Casagrande on art. This standalone event won't connect to Skybound's ongoing Energon Universe, which includes Transformers.
Tomb Raider, for the uninitiated, is the iconic action-adventure franchise starring archaeologist Lara Croft. Known for her dual pistols and global tomb-raiding escapades, the series began as a video game in 1996 and quickly expanded into films and comics, establishing Lara as a pop culture titan.

Catzye Take
This crossover is a wild ride for fans of both franchises, especially with Lara Croft entering the hallowed Larry Hama continuity. It's a bold move from Skybound, proving they're willing to take big swings with their licensed properties beyond the Energon Universe. We're curious to see how this impacts Lara's future adventures too.
