Forgotten Marvel Cult Classic Team America Revived by CSN Press

Marvel's forgotten 80s motorcycle stunt team, Team America, is roaring back to life after 44 years. But here's the twist: it’s not Marvel bringing them back.
Originally a short-lived 1982 series, Team America followed five mutant riders who, individually, were elite athletes. Collectively, they could merge their skills into the powerful, mysterious Marauder. Born from a toy license, the comic never quite found its footing. It faded into obscurity after just 12 issues, becoming a niche footnote in Marvel history.
Now, comic shop owner Matt Price, writing for CSN Press, has spearheaded a spiritual sequel: Team America Racing. Illustrated by Josh Hood, with a striking Howard Chaykin cover, this new series collects chapters previously serialized in Comic Shop News. Crucially, CSN Press does not own the Marvel rights, making this a true passion project reimagining the core concept.

Catzye Take
This is a fascinating revival for a deep-cut Marvel property. It highlights how beloved, even 'failed' concepts can find new life through passionate creators. It will be interesting to see if this spiritual successor resonates with both old fans and new readers, particularly given its 'Stranger Things meets X Games' vibe.
