Fluxx Creators Looney Labs Drop New Card Game, Seven Islands, with Reality TV Twist
Looney Labs, the minds behind the endlessly chaotic Fluxx, just dropped a brand new card game: Seven Islands. This isn't your usual island hopping; it's a reality TV show survival challenge. Players become contestants, stranded on tropical islands connected by rickety bridges, racing to a mysterious beacon.
The goal? Find the right island before time runs out or a new ship changes the winning destination. Seven Islands offers versatile gameplay for 1-4 players. Solo mode transforms it into a spatial puzzle, challenging you to perfectly assemble an archipelago with terrain cards. For 2-4 players, it becomes a strategic race where teams of two must meet at the designated island to claim victory.
Looney Labs has been innovating tabletop fun since 1996, building a legacy on accessible, engaging games. Seven Islands, available now for $20, looks set to continue that tradition with its unique premise and adaptable mechanics.

Catzye Take
Fans of Looney Labs know them for their approachable, quirky games, and Seven Islands seems to fit that mold perfectly. The split between a puzzle-focused solo mode and a competitive multiplayer race is particularly interesting. We'll be curious to see if this captures the same wildfire popularity as Fluxx.
