Clayface Film Tie-In Kicks Off Massive DC Comics Push This July

DC Comics is going all in on Clayface this July, launching a huge comic book blitz for the iconic Batman villain. This extensive push arrives ahead of his highly anticipated solo film, set to hit theaters in October 2026. Fans can expect a full Clayface takeover at San Diego Comic-Con, complete with film previews and a flood of new series.
The shape-shifting antagonist is set to loom large across multiple titles. Absolute Batman delivers a significant storyline, starting with issue #22 in July. This arc reintroduces him as a tormented sculptor or a chilling shapeshifter who harvests the imprints of those in his clay. For those craving more, a new six-issue miniseries, Clayface Celebrity Dirt, debuts its first issue in July. Written by horror scribe Jude Ellison S. Doyle, the series sees Clayface escape Arkham Towers, only to discover someone else has stolen his name and fame. Even the main DC Universe Batman comic might feature an early July appearance, building to Batman #12 in August. Ryan Sook's intriguing cover for Batman #12 teases "six deadliest killers," hinting at possible clay-based threats. DC is clearly doubling down, making July the month of Clayface.
