Archie Faces the Deadites in Dynamite's Monster September Lineup

Dynamite Entertainment just dropped its September 2026 solicits. Strap in, genre fans. The biggest head-turner? Archie Andrews, battling the horrifying Deadites from Army of Darkness. This collected miniseries, by Erik Burnham and Bill Galvan, sees Riverdale's wholesome crew stumble upon the Necronomicon. Pure, glorious, undead chaos ensues. It’s exactly the kind of unexpected mashup Dynamite excels at.
But the surprises don't stop with brain-eating zombies in suburban America. Dynamite continues its impressive run of licensed properties, bringing in top-tier talent for major new series. Eisner Award-winning writer Mark Russell (Superman: Space Age) launches an all-new Firefly #1. With artist Lorenzo Re, Russell takes us back aboard Serenity. Mal Reynolds is desperate for cash. Simon and Kaylee get tangled in a heist, unearthing old troubles. Expect that signature blend of space-western grit and Russell’s sharp wit.
Another Eisner winner, Saladin Ahmed, makes his Dynamite debut with Thundercats: Cheetara #1. Joined by Andrea Arcari, Ahmed promises a bold new beginning for the Thunderverse. Cheetara grapples with unsettling visions. They challenge the very Book of Omens. This is a significant creative shift for the classic franchise, pushing its mythology in exciting directions.
