Get ready for an unusually busy pre-Fourth of July. This year marks America's 250th anniversary, turning the beloved annual broadcast into an even bigger celebration. "A Capitol Fourth," now in its 46th year, goes live tonight, hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro.
The special "250th Weekend Celebration" airs tonight from 8 to 9 PM ET on public television stations nationwide. It's also available for service members via American Forces Network, and streams online and on YouTube.
Broadcasting live from the United States Capitol Building's West Lawn, this edition promises grand scale. Expect spectacular tributes and what’s billed as the biggest live fireworks show ever over George Washington's Mount Vernon.
