ABSOLUTE BATMAN: New Animated Series Leads DC's Massive Animation Slate

Hold onto your utility belts, folks! DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation just dropped a bombshell: ABSOLUTE BATMAN, a brand-new animated series from a mysterious "visionary filmmaker," is officially in development. This sounds like an entirely fresh take on the Dark Knight, potentially outside the main DCU. A bold move.
Meanwhile, James Gunn's DCU entry, CREATURE COMMANDOS, is ditching its original motion-capture plans. It's now embracing a "traditional 2D aesthetic" rendered in CG, a significant visual shift promising unique designs.
Fan favorites also got good news. TEEN TITANS GO! secures an eighth season, while the critically acclaimed BATMAN: CAPED CRUSADER (now on Amazon Prime Video) lands a third. MY ADVENTURES WITH SUPERMAN also flies into Season 3. Even Scooby Doo gets an adult animated comedy, SCOOBY DOO AND THE MYSTERY MACHINE, penned by Seth Kearsley. DC's animated future is looking packed and incredibly diverse.
